Mandarin tongxue (classmates)

We have a very nice group of people in our Level 2 Mandarin class at the Bridge School. As our vocabulary increases, we slowly start to find our more interesting (and truthful) things about each other. It is also quite pracitcal to have a little network of other foreigners to exchange experiences and information with.

Since there are no classes next week due to the big Chinese holiday, we decided to launch the vacation week with a lunch today. Pictured in the photo are Lele (France), Francois (France), me, Antti (Finland), and Frederick (Belgium). As you can see, we had Beijing Kaoya (Peking Duck), among many other dishes, for about $5 per person.

...but tonight's dinner with Lina was even cheaper, I think less than RMB 30 (< $4) for two!

As you can see, the weather is still wonderful - about 25 C during the day and 15 C or so over night...I wonder how long this will last...
