A Day Off!

One of our few "days off" during M06-3...Sports in the morning, then a lengthy visit to the Spin ceramic shop to buy some gifts, underway (successful!) shopping for Conrad (a nice Chinese-inspired fall jacket) and Anne (a cozy cashmere T-neck sweater), then an unplanned detour for a spa treatment (facial, massage) - that actually left my face in much worse shape than before!

The evening was devoted to dinner with friends and colleagues at Xiao Wang's Home Restuaruant in Ritan Park, including Michael Totten (Conservation International, Colorado/USA), Bambi & David Moskovitz (Regulatory Assistance Project, Maine/USA), their friend Ellen Baum, and Phil Lew (friend from Odyssey 2000 bike trip, living in Beijing for the past 3 years). Unfortunately, Klaus Ziegler and his family didn't make it. Although the restaurant was a bit hard to find (in Ritan Park), the food was great.
